PTSA Board & Membership
Our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a Unit under the California State PTA, Peralta District. In partnership with our school Principal and teacher advisor, our Association is governed by an elected board of Executive Officers and committee leads, who meet monthly to plan programs and events, review expenditures and discuss progress toward our goals.
Become a Member!
It's easy to join and there is no obligation to volunteer. Becoming an MMS PTSA member simply means that you are supporting our students and staff. In addition to becoming part of our PTSA community, your membership also entitles you to a vote at our Association meetings. Students are encouraged to become members too!
Membership Dues for 2025-26 school year are just $12.

Association Meetings
In addition to Executive Board meetings, Association Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of alternating months and feature a guest speaker from the community. All Mendenhall parents, students and staff are invited and encouraged to attend bi-monthly Association Meetings, as this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the initiatives that impact our students, as well as hear from a community member about important topics.

We Need You!
Your voice matters! We are looking for dedicated parents and guardians to fill Executive Board vacancies and help shape the future of our school community. This is your chance to make an impact, advocate for students, and collaborate with school leadership to create meaningful programs and events.
Open Positions -- We have several roles that need to be filled for this school year:
- Communications Lead - Help keep our community informed with website updates, newsletters and content on our social channels.
- PE Clothing Manager - Keep track of our most significant source of fundraising and collaborate with the Front Office staff to fulfill orders.
- Family Dine Outs - Plan 2-3 evenings out when families can dine at a local eaterie while giving back to our school.
- Parliamentarian - Keep our meetings on track and on task; help us revise our bylaws for the 2026-27 school year and beyond.
Whether you're looking for something specific or you'd like to try something new, we're positive your talents are needed!
Time Commitment: Most roles require just a few hours per month; we'll work with you to ensure your volunteer time doesn't take away from other commitments.
